Policies Concerning
your Wedding in Maine:
-
A
payment plan is arranged with the bride and
groom upon reserving the wedding, which
usually consists of 2-4 payments over
the months leading up to the wedding
with the balance due 10 days prior
to the event. All Food and Beverage Fees
are subject to an 18% Service Charge and
a 7% Maine Sales Tax and Fee’s must be
paid by Check.

Bear Mountain Inn requires that rental
equipment such as tents, chairs, linens,
china, tables, portable toilets be
provided by Bear Mountain Inn . The
rentals such as tents, chairs, tables,
and cutlery will be ordered when your
wedding is booked. All rentals may be
altered up to ten days prior to your
event except the tent. If your guest
number drops below the allocated number
specified for the tent size you will be
charged a specified per person fee to
cover the tent cost if smaller tents are
not available.
- Your
Maine ceremony
is usually 1 hour or less with cocktail
hour, dinner and dancing between 4 and 5
hours. Bar and Music must be closed at
10:00 or 5 hours after the time
the Wedding begins.
Wedding Bar
Policies:

Your Wedding Bar can be an Open Bar
or a Cash Bar. The following
conditions apply:

Bar Minimum Sales of $10 per guest - Client
Makes up the difference

Absolutely no outside liquor is
permitted in the licensed area-
Maine State Law

There is a $50 licensing fee for all
bars - Maine State Law

Bear Mountain Inn will provide a bar
for under the tent
-
Bear Mountain Inn will supply Cups,
Glasses, Napkins, Ice, Shakers, Cork
Screws, Openers and any other bar
supplies. All glassware such as wine
glasses, champagne glasses or bar
glasses must be rented at an
additional charge.

Bear Mountain Inn will hire 1
- 2 professional bartenders for your
reception. Compensation for bartenders
will be added to Wedding Proposal at
$25 per hour per bartender.
- Wedding Party will Provide a list to
Bear Mountain Inn and Bartender of
all under age guests that will be at
the Wedding.

Wedding Party will provide a Name of
a Person who is a guest at the
wedding who can help troubleshoot
any liquor related problems that may
occur. (Usually this is a person who
will not be consuming alcohol)

Bear Mountain Inn or Bartender is
responsible to set up the liquor at
the Bar
-
Bear Mountain Inn will supply: Trash
& Recycling Bins, Ice Chests, Bar or
Table, and Linens.

Bear Mountain Inn provides White
Linens and Napkins for the Wedding.
Colored Linens, Table Toppers or
Napkins can be provided but will be
at additional cost.

If
Special Displays with Ice are
requested, there will be an extra
charge for Ice.

All Wedding guests that are not
staying at Bear Mountain Inn must
leave the property immediately after
the 5 hour wedding is over. The
Bride and Groom or other designated
representative must stay at the
reception tent and encourage the
guests to leave the property
immediately. There will be no
gatherings or after parties after
the reception is over. Because of
the Maine State Liquor Laws there
can be no alcohol served by anyone
that is not licensed. Bear Mountain
Inn will not allow any alcohol to be
consumed on the property after the
wedding is over.

Due to soft grass, decks with cracks and
pine wood floors, Bear Mountain Inn
strongly recommends that guest not to
wear high heel shoes. Bear Mountain Inn
is not responsible for guests that
injure themselves due to wearing
inappropriate footwear for an outdoor
setting.
- Candles may
only be used if the flame is enclosed in
glass. Example: Votives, Hurricanes etc.
are all okay on the tables. Tapers and
Candelabras are not permitted. .
- The throwing
of rice or confetti is not permitted but
bird seed is allowed

Bear Mountain Inn is a smoke free
environment. Smoking will be allowed on
front porch, outside during the wedding,
or any decks of the property.

There will be a $500 damage deposit
charged for the event. Any damage to Bear Mountain
Inn property done by your invited guests
during the function or wedding will be
the responsibility of the person booking
the event. The booking party will
replace or repair anything that becomes
broken during your wedding. The damage
deposit will be refunded only after all
guests have left the property and the
property has been thoroughly checked for
damage.

Parking direction will be provided by
Bear Mountain Inn.

Portable
toilets and tents will be required for
all outside functions.

During the Wedding guests are not to
affix to walls, floors, ceiling or
grounds with nails, staples, carpet tape
or other substances. Please consult for
assistance in display of all materials.
Any decorations put up in the tent or function room by
the wedding party must be taken down by
the wedding party. Additional lights in
the tent will cause problems with power.
Please consult Bear Mountain Inn before
putting up additional lights.
Policies Concerning
our Lodging in Maine
-
All rooms at the Bear Mountain Inn
must
be reserved for two-night reservation
during
any Function, Wedding, or Conference.
Bear Mountain Inn requires a one night
deposit on all rooms in order to book
the function room or the outside
property for a wedding or special
occasion. Balance of the rooms is due at
check-out. Bear Mountain Inn has 11
rooms.

The party who is booking the wedding may
pay a one night deposit on each room
upon reserving the conference room or
Property for a wedding or we will hold
the rooms for seven days if you would
like to have each guest pay their own
deposit. After seven days the wedding
party must pay the deposit on any rooms
that have not been reserved and deposit
received. The person responsible for
booking wedding or event will assign
rooms to their guests. Any rooms that
remain unoccupied will be the
responsibility of the party booking the
inn for a 2-night stay during the
function.

If a guest books a room but does not
occupy the room, the remainder of the
balance due will be the responsibility
of the person wedding party.

All Room rates are based on double
occupancy except for family cub’s which
are four person occupancy. Total of 26
guests in rooms. Bear Mountain Inn does
exceed the maximum occupancy in any
room. Bear Mountain Inn does not allow
cots or air mattresses in any rooms.

Only registered guests will be allowed
in the Inn, rooms, or use the amenities
before, during, or after the wedding,
conference or event. Please make your
guests aware that they can not tour the
Inn during the event. Only the guest
that is registered in a room may use the
Jacuzzi tubs or Bathrooms. Room or
Bathrooms may not be shared with anyone
who is not registered in that room.
